Original Plays!

Gaspipe Theatre Company runs an Original One-Act Play Fest every spring. The plays are written by local playwrights looking to workshop their pieces. If you have a play that you think could be performed, please contact us at [email protected], and we'll discuss it with you!

About the One-Act Play Festival:


In 2010, Derek Scott met with Nadine Swartz and Melissa Mabus. two contributers, and formulated the idea to offer playwrights inside and outside of the Pennsylvania area opportunities to submit their works to be read by a panel of company judges. If their play(s) were to the panel's liking, those playwrights would be contacted, and with their permission, would have their works produced and performed by Gaspipe in their One-Act Play Festival. 


Now completing its fourth year, the festival has championed several many plays from playwrights living as close as Lewisburg and Milton, to as far as Chicago and Hawaii. As in most company productions, actors are selected via the open audition process.

Other notable persons involved with numerous theatrical productions with the company are Kimie Muroya, Karen Herschell, Sophia Peterson, Jess Paquin, Lisa Rae Johnson, Ken and Hope Kopf, Seth Drick, Jeremy Shaffer, Justin Moore, Colby Bastian, and Jen and Nicole Buck.
